I was able to check out the screening of Robert Rodriguez’s MACHETE starring Danny Trejo. Entertainment heavyweights like Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, and Michelle Rodriguez were among the other stars of the film. It started out as a fake trailer to the 2007 movie Grindhouse, it created a demand from it’s fans. Danny Trejo mentions in the premiere that he went to Europe and had a fan show their MACHETE tattoo. This sparked a demand to make this movie happen. Thanks to Robert Rodriguez and the cast, the movie came out real good. Plenty of action, suspense, and comedy. Definitely not for the faint of heart or if you don’t have a sense of humor. A very fun movie to watch. Danny Trejo is definitely the modern day Mexican version of Clint Eastwood & Charles Bronson. Death Wish meets, The Good The Bad & The Ugly, meets Zorro and some.

I wish I could have brought in a camera, they were real strict on cell phones and recording devices. Bumped into DESTROYR’s Jon Chase, artist Patrick Martinez, SLICK, and HELLZ’s Bam at the premiere. Props to Soul Assassins, FOX, and everyone who made this movie premiere happen. Special thanks to Rona from Cashmere Agency for inviting me and my guest to the premiere.

If the Wright Bros were still alive they would have ruled the Redbull Flugtag. Every year Redbull holds the Flugtag “flying day in German”, in different cities every year. Every year thousands flock to see homemade flying machines defy grafity. It’s all for fun and games and we love Redbull for throwing these competitions.
