Spending FRIDAY the 13th @ Store THIRTEEN
Ok so would it be double bad luck if I spent Friday the 13th at Store 13? Nah!!! So late Friday afternoon I went to chill at Pasadena with my longtime friend Tepi who owns the infamous Store 13 shops in West Covina and Pasadena.
Gotta finally meet DATA and catch up with him. Not the one from Star Trek Generations. Met DATA through the blogosphere 2 years ago. Always dope when you get to meet them in person. They seem more animated.
Outside Masumi & Data were cooking “Danger Dogs”aka bacon wrapped dogs in the sidewalk, while Tepi was showing his customers old school skateboard moves on those Penny Skateboards in front of the shop. Tepi still got it.
Masumi was teaching us the art of how to tear the top of an aluminum can with his Bic lighter and drink it like a cup. You can do that with a Rockstar can and fill it up with other drinks (beer) so you don’t get in trouble with the authorities. BTW you can seriously cut yourself if you don’t know what you’re doing. Masumi learned this in Okinawa, Japan & he can probably chop off your head with that same Bic lighter and light up a cigarette after. No need for swords. Just saying.
Shouts out to LOVE CREW for giving us a preview of the artwork they will do at the shop.
I definitely like the new look of the shop and BTW we will drop our new Spring Quickstrike 2012 line here. We will have a release party and do ride sometime in March. So mark that on your calendars. EMORTAL/Pedal Mobbin/Store 13 Pasadena All City Ride!
